Education Manager – Based in ItalyMERIT is a minimalist beauty brand that makes impossible-to-mess-up products for a multi-generational community. At its core, MERIT is driven by intentionality, developing each product with care and precision, and spending years perfecting every detail to create products you can live with — not just try — for years to come.As part of our international growth, MERIT is looking for an Education Manager, based in Milan, to help build and execute our Italy education and field strategy. You will play a key role representing Merit with Sephora customers, providing feedback to the commercial teams and defining the education strategy.Key responsibilities:Represent the brand as the primary point of contact for our retail partners (in-store and country level education teams), driving the in-store sales and trainings within designated territoryAchieve targeted territory sales growth, with all activities and initiatives aligned to achieving this core objectiveDevelop effective store management and in store team relationships, that drive support, brand advocacy, and long term growthDevelop a deep understanding of each store’s performance, customer profile, and opportunities to create tailored, store-by-store sales strategies that support the achievement of sales and KPI goalsCreate and deliver high impact education strategies for in-store training sessions, Sephora university, Sephora train-the-trainers and any wider training opportunitiesTrain and educate freelancers, agencies, and new hires on selling techniques, brandstorytelling and in-store performance expectations to ensure consistent and impactful brand representationTake leadership with scheduling and managing in-store freelancers, including setting KPIs, daily store targets and measuring their successPlan and execute successful in-store events to boost brand visibility and increase sales, working closely with the international & global team to ensure alignment with brand guidelinesApply market knowledge and retail insights to identify and advise on in-store marketing initiatives that drive brand visibility and awarenessMaintain strong communication and relationships across the internal business to ensure cross-functional alignment and prioritization of key initiatives, ensuring to participate in team meetings to strategies opportunitiesSupport with submitting weekly sales recaps for your territory, highlighting key success’s, challenges or key learningsEnsure in-store visual merchandising standards are consistently met, proactively identifying, escalating, and supporting the resolution of any merchandising issuesMonitor and manage in-store stock levels to ensure accuracy and availability, proactively communicating with store and corporate teams to flag discrepancies and support timely resolutionAssist with any additional eventing, training, and/or media opportunities that might require your supportProfile:Strong beauty sales experience, including experience in Sephora field salesProven success in event planning and executing in store sales and training strategiesExcellent relationship building skills with team members and management at all levelsEffective communication, negotiation and management skillsAbility to analyze sales data and track performance results and insightsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentPassion for the beauty industryAvailability to work alternating Monday-Friday and Tuesday-Saturday schedules, plus full weekends as needed, with travel flexibility
