Danfoss Editron is leading the electrification revolution. Our mission is to end pollution with electrification. Editron specializes in hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the off-highway, on-highway, and marine markets. As a business division of Danfoss, it develops and manufactures high-performance power systems for heavy-duty vehicles, machines, and marine vessels.
For our Danfoss locations in Europe, US, and China, we are currently looking for a Portfolio Manager, eDriveline to develop our traction/propel system solutions for global off-highway electrification.
In this position, your work will include defining portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap. Gather and manage market, customer, and internal requirements, as well as actively engaging cross-functionally to support our growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the eDriveline Portfolio Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop electromechanical driveline solutions for the off-road and heavy-duty industry.
- Define and support system-level portfolio strategy, pricing strategies, and portfolio roadmap that align with divisional strategy and objectives.
- Ensure that the technology mix supports the commercial and technical requirements for the product portfolio.
- Understand customer needs and challenges, and how our products can support their operations.
- Build technology requirement documents based on business/marketing plans for new products and features.
Business Development and Management
- Develop and manage key stakeholders and partners including OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
- Monitor and report industrial trends, regulatory and market rule changes that could affect electrification of off-road machinery, find and capture opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, including sales, system engineering, marketing, R&D, and operations.
- Understand and support the sales team and channel partners.
- Support internal tools and process development.
Technical Expertise and Innovation
- Thought leadership to shape, promote, and own topics important for electric driveline solutions for our customers.
- Develop deep knowledge of the product portfolio and provide key perspectives on decisions with cross-functional teams.
- Continue to drive innovation within the organization.
Industrial Representation and Marketing
- Participate in market and technology analyses and identify new technology opportunities that can provide a competitive edge.
- Conduct product analysis and benchmarking against competitors to provide value-added solutions.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry forums, and standardization bodies.
- Support and contribute to technical documentation, databases, and external presentations.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Independent, self-starter with validated ability to succeed in dynamic environments and with evolving technology and market requirements.
- Understanding of the competitive landscape of on- and off-road electrification markets; and be an expert on our technical solutions and how they are positioned.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of work experience in commercial vehicle and/or off-road vehicle systems, with a strong background in both mechanical and electrical traction systems, including knowledge of traction motors, inverters, control systems, and mechanical drivetrains (axle, transmission, gears).
- Experience working with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in the off-road or heavy-duty sector.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Good project and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%), including internationally.
