ECAD Software Engineer (PCB/EDM)

In this role, you will contribute to designing methodologies that maximize the use of Siemens EDA Xpedition products and help customers accelerate Time-To-Market. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to tailor solutions, identify gaps in customer flows, and improve design reliability and performance. You’ll engage with customers and cross-functional teams to drive efficient development flows and technical leadership. This is a hands‑on position with opportunities to grow into a technical lead within System Practice. You’ll collaborate with the EBS product division on advanced development and customisations of CLS generated applications.

• Develop design methodologies to leverage Siemens EDA Xpedition tools
• Consult and present to customers on tool benefits to improve design performance
• Identify gaps in customer design flows and articulate improvements to meet TTM goals
• Understand customer IT architectures, databases, and cloud-hosted EDM environments
• Collaborate with EBS product division on advanced development and CLS generated applications
• Liaise on customisations, development and maintenance of CLS-generated applications
• Potentially guide new recruits and grow into technical leadership role
• Knowledge of PCB hardware development methodologies
• Experience with Siemens EDA Xpedition tools
• Knowledge of software development
• Understanding of EDM design and library methodology, tools, and design flow
• Networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments
• Database administration and optimisation in cloud deployments
• Troubleshoot and optimise performance for EDM in cloud infrastructure
• Scripting languages (Python, VBScript)
• Programming languages (Java)
• Strong written and verbal communication; self‑motivated
