Job Summary

The eBeam technology represents a major breakthrough in packaging sterilisation, enabling high-speed production, reduced operational costs, and significant reductions in the use of chemicals, water, and energy. We are looking for talented people across multiple areas—Development, Engineering, Production, and Supplier Management—to help drive the evolution of our eBeam system for today’s and tomorrow’s filling equipment.

We are hiring a Production Engineer who will contribute in the development of new manufacturing processes and production equipment and further development and optimization of existing ones. The Production Engineer will also seamless transfer new products from development into series production and provide proactive technical production support.

This is a permanent position based in Modena, Italy. For knowledge transfer from Flamatt site, travel to Switzerland is required at the beginning of the assignment.

What you will do

  • Leading engineering change projects for product improvement, design, process optimization, cost reductions or further development of standard products
  • Active participation in the production-oriented development and introduction of new products or their industrialization
  • Creation and maintenance of production documentation and specification documents, esp. product specifications and process instructions (SOP)
  • Recording and defining the physical processes in the processes and products used with regard to the materials (Degassing, Bake-Out, Conditioning, Coating, Surface manufacturing (f.e. electropolishing) Chemical Cleaning of the parts, Clean room processes)
  • Responsible for manufacturing process validations f.e. Joining Processes (brazing, laser welding), vacuum processing
  • Responsible for the analysis of existing processes, evaluation and development of optimized procedures
  • Implementation of costs and throughput reduction projects
  • Close cooperation with specialists from technology, development, design, purchasing and quality assurance
  • Conducting training of production operators
  • Value design and optimization according to technical and business aspects. Implementation of cost and throughput reduction projects, project management/collaboration in relation to new construction, moving, relocation, dismantling of production equipment
  • Project and/or sub-project management in connection with the development of new manufacturing technology and infrastructure (automation), responsibility for their introduction in ongoing production (equimpent qualification)
  • Design, evaluation and information preparation for decision-makers regarding products and/or systems
  • Conducting supplier discussions and coordination with plant suppliers
  • Creation of requirement specifications, specifications and acceptance documents

We believe you have

Educational and Professional Experience

  • Completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
  • Several years (5 years) of experience in manufacturing, industrial process development, precision assembly, or related engineering fields
  • Preferable industry experience from Pharma/Medical or Automotive
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is beneficial
  • Knowledge in continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and improvement management systems
  • Solid industrial experience in manufacturing process improvement, optimization and the industrialization of new products into series production
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, materials, and production workflows
  • Knowledge of robotics, automation systems and programming tools used in modern manufacturing environments
  • Experience with joining technologies (e.g., brazing, laser welding) and vacuum process technology
  • Additional technical certifications or specialization in relevant process technologies are advantageous
  • Good English skills (spoken and written) required
