We are looking for an Earth Observation Expert Support to Service Segment on behalf of and in support to our client for their location in Frascati, Italy. The activity is aimed at providing technical expertise on SAR and optical satellite data processing and applications, with a focus on interferometric ones, but also maritime and land mapping and monitoring (change detection, multi-temporal analysis, feature extraction, etc), as support to the Service Segment.
Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider.

Responsibilities
Preparation and update documents established at Service Segment level as needed.
Contribution to Technical Deliverable Reviews related to technical tasks of the Service Segment development contracts, in particular Design and Development of the Service Value Chains, Validation and Product delivery.
Supporting review process for all critical Service Segment Elements.
Supporting Service Segment Team in technical meetings with Industry and User Communities.
Qualifications
Masters’ degree in Engineering or Physics.
At least 8 years of experience in Earth Observation satellite-based applications and services, from data ingestion up to end user exploitation.
Solid capability in design and development of SAR and optical data processing algorithms and processors.
Good knowledge and practical experience in the PS-InSAR and DS-InSAR processing and calibration methodologies for different applications (e.g. landslides monitoring, infrastructure monitoring), and experience in validation methodologies and activities of SAR interferometric products.
Experience in relevant SAR and optical software packages.
Experience on SW integration, verification and validation.
Experience with Earth Observations Data Management.
Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques applied to remote sensing data.
Understanding of geodatabase design and spatial data formats.
Knowledge of GIS tools for cartographic production and for the analysis and management of spatial databases is a plus.
Experience in data quality control is a plus.
Self-motivation, autonomy and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
Flexibility in dealing with day-to-day operational challenges.
Strong teamwork.
Able to thoroughly address responsibilities, with good attention to detail and a proven understanding of documentation methods and requirements.
Able to review, assess and document problems and to propose solutions.
Able to assess priorities and identify critical points.
Good written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.
Fluency in English both written and spoken.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
Preferred background or working experience
Background in EO-based services and applications.
Experience in developing and running operational services based on SAR EO data processing.
