The EAM System Specialist is responsible for the configuration, optimisation, and ongoing performance of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system across a global technical services and engineering organisation in line with Merlin Asset Management Policy. The role ensures the system effectively supports asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, compliance, and data-driven decision-making.
The EAM System Administrator will manage the effective operation, stability, and continuous improvement of HxGN EAM across Merlin attractions under the guidance of the EAM System Specialist, working closely with Global Technical Services, local Technical Services teams and IT. The role covers system support, configuration, rollout, and performance reporting, ensuring global standards are consistently applied while meeting local operational needs. Occasional international travel may be required to support system rollouts, training, and on-site issue resolution.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide ownership of the helpdesk ticketing function of HxGN EAM for in-scope Merlin attractions (user account administration, data uploading, support questions, etc.)
- Manage communication and support to attractions to tackle and eliminate bugs and issues.
- Provide solutions to and test change requests to improve system performance.
- Manage and test system configuration changes to ensure all standards are maintained.
- Support the rollout of HxGN EAM across a defined pipeline of Merlin’s designated attractions.
- Ensure that relevant employees are sufficiently trained in HxGN EAM and supported for the successful ongoing utilisation of the system.
- Produce necessary performance reports and core data analysis from within HxGN EAM to help drive processes or technical engineering efficiencies and improvements.
- Carry out work in line with changing business requirements as and when required.
Qualifiche ed esperienza
- Experience with managing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, preferably HxGN EAM.
- Experience in SQL report writing and data extraction is preferred but not essential.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel for data cleansing, formatting and analysis.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects related to the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of new systems within a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting multi-site, global organisations, including standardisation and cross-region collaboration.
