Job Purpose

The role is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal and external standards. This role plays a critical part in managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), maintaining Bills of Materials (BoMs), and administering the Parts Qualification Database to support product development, manufacturing, and regulatory audits.


Individual role Accountabilities

  • Manage and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), including justification, approval routing, and implementation tracking
  • Maintain revision histories and ensure obsolete documents are properly archived and traceable
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely updates and distribution of controlled documents
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs such Engineering Change Order and notice procedure
  • Technical Bill of Materials (BoM) creation, revision, and routing to ERP thru ECO
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain teams to validate BoM accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure BoM changes are documented and communicated effectively across departments.
  • Parts Qualification Database Management, ensuring all entries meet engineering and regulatory standards.
  • Support audits by maintaining up-to-date records and providing documentation as required
  • Manage and process purchasing requests related to Engineering function


Standards of Performance

  • Ensure timely processing of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), including justification, routing, and implementation tracking
  • Maintain a stable and consolidated ECO approval process, minimizing delays between request and emission
  • Address challenges such as managing growing product changes, updating BoMs, and archiving files efficiently
  • Timely progress, track and communicate on parts qualification
  • Any other objectives defined by the Engineering Manager to deliver sustained performances and opportunities for improvement


Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience in document control within engineering or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems and ERP platforms
  • Understanding of ISO standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., EN54, CE marking etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Italian and English fluent
