We are looking for a Distribution Manager who will coordinate and oversee distribution activities for some Brands within Marcolin’s portfolio, operating at the intersection of sales, marketing, and on field execution , ensuring that eyewear brands are properly distributed, displayed, and sold across assigned markets. He/she will be responsible for implementing the commercial strategy for the distribution network (all channels: Independents, Key Accounts, Strategic, Retail & Canada) and execute the selective distribution agreements.


Responsability:

  • Build and monitor the selective distribution network for the Brands while upholding all guidelines across all sales channels (incl. department stores, chains, independent retailers, duty free,e-commerce).
  • Ensure brand positioning and network quality through contracts and audits.
  • Work with retailers & sales team to ensure they uphold all contractual obligations in terms of commercial policy and brand equity.
  • Cooperate in the definition of the Sales & Distribution budget and liaise with sales team and BM to develop gap‑closing action plans whenever performance deviations arise
  • Monitor & analyze sales performance in distribution network, working in alignment with the sales team on eventual closures and tailored initiatives for the re‑qualification of potential clients, business consolidation within the existing customer base, and the development of new business opportunities.
  • Create a segmented approach to distribution strategy to target marketing and sales activities.
  • Liaise with sales team to identify commercial priorities, secure the right assortment and marketing tools.
  • Work in team with local Sales teams and Brand Trade Marketing to negotiate premium retail space in key locations. Promote, Identify & implement in store marketing activities working alongside the sales leads.
  • Work in team with local Sales teams in presenting new collections to top tier clients, identify and negotiate new business opportunities, drive brand visibility and sell-out performance.
  • Support sales teams and distributors on orders and deliveries, stock allocation, inventory management and ensure performance meets KPIs and brand standards.
  • Coordinate training programs for retail partners and sales staff in order to maintain consistent brand knowledge and service quality.
  • Monitor visual merchandising standards across all points of sale.
  • Monitor & report product and pricing strategy along with benchmark competitors on a consistent basis.
  • Collect & prepare product and marketing feedback from field to share with Brand Director and HQ team.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years of sales/brand management experience
  • Relevant industry experience (Luxury/ Eyewear) with a solid understanding of the luxury business and wholesale and retail distribution dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and Microsoft office skills specifically with Excel & PowerPoint
  • Native Italian speaker, Fluent English (a second foreign language would constitute a plus)
  • Travel up to 40%
