The Intern will join the Distribution and Asset Rotation (DAR) desk, as support to the syndicate team based in Milan, dealing with an international, challenging and rapidly changing environment, which requires multi-tasking skills, relational skills, capabilities to work with time management and to respect strict deadlines.

This experience will provide the intern/apprentice with a unique opportunity to improve her/his knowledge of the Italian syndicated loan market, with a focus on distribution of loans related to large and mid-cap corporates, LBOs and asset-based finance projects (e.G. real estate and project finance).


She / He will be involved in:

  • Preparation of internal presentations and pitches
  • Preparation of internal syndicated opinions to present financing opportunities in credit committees
  • Liaising with other teams of the bank (e.G. sales team, origination teams, coverage etc..) in relation to transactions to be syndicated
  • Preparation of post-transaction memorandum
  • Market, benchmark and comparable analysis through Dealogic, Loanconnector and internal tools
  • Analysis of main players within the Italian syndicated loan market (data analysis and PowerPoint presentations) for internal and clients/investors meetings purposes


Requirements:


LANGUAGES

  • Fluency in written and spoken English. French is a plus

IT

  • Proficiency in Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg platform will be a plus

SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong academic track record, preferably with a focus on subjects inherent Financial Markets/Intermediaries, Financial Products/Securities, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Accounting
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in writing and presentation skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position (e.G. syndicate desk or origination team) will be a plus
  • Preference for candidates already graduated or expected to graduate in 1H26.
