Experteer Overview
In this high‑visibility role you will lead AI strategy and technology decisions for frontier AI capabilities, directing 0‑to‑1 exploration through to production. You will partner across functions to shape roadmaps, assess use cases, and ensure safe, scalable industrial AI deployments. You’ll balance innovation with governance in regulated environments, influencing both technology choices and business outcomes. This is a mission‑scale opportunity to advance AVEVA’s AI capabilities in industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical truth for AI capabilities from concept to launch, aligning with tech strategy and business goals
- Navigate AI/ML advances to identify value‑driven industrial use cases and manage lifecycle trade‑offs
- Source emerging AI technologies for industrial applications
- Identify and mitigate technical risks; ensure quality, safety and reliability best practices
- Create technical AI requirements and end‑to‑end roadmaps; prioritize data needs, model performance, and customer‑focused features
- Define, monitor and report AI capability metrics and derive data‑driven insights for decisions
- Maintain safety, governance, and regulatory compliance in AI deployments across the industrial sector
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members; foster innovation and continuous improvement
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure AI capabilities are industry‑relevant and scalable
Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years of experience with at least 5 years in a AI technical leadership role for both nascent and production AI
- Recent experience with world models, foundation models, multi‑modal models, agent‑based systems, and context retrieval/augmentation
- Experience in responsible deployment, model drift mitigation, privacy‑preserving federated learning, and AI governance
- Strong background in AI in highly regulated industries with production‑ready capabilities
- Excellent judgment prioritizing emerging vs existing AI technologies for relevant features and revenue impact
- Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax) and state‑of‑the‑art ML techniques
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills for cross‑functional and non‑technical audiences
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or related field (PhD preferred)
- Experience with regulated industries and cloud/on‑prem/edge AI deployments
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience working in both enterprise and startup environments
