The role is critical in delivering the roadmap of operational excellence in all aspects of the Sourcing function including supplier development, consolidation, performance management as well as significant gains in both productivity and working capital.
The position may be located in EMEA (remote-based with frequent travel to our Regional office in Dundee and other offices in EMEA). Will report to the Sr Director of Operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE :
- Work closely with the Director of Operations in Dundee, Bladel, Grentheville, ATG, LIQAL to create the sourcing strategy for the region.
- Provide leadership to the team of Sourcing professionals based in Europe, including defining team structure, roles, assessing skills gaps, and creating development plans. Inspire high performance within the team.
- Identify sourcing opportunities and align goals to optimize Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity across the global supply base.
- Engage in New Product Introduction activities, guiding projects from concept to market launch.
- Develop strong relationships with Supply Chain and Sourcing leaders across DFS EMEA, understanding challenges and coordinating efforts for sourcing solutions, including make/buy decisions.
- Seek suppliers with innovative capabilities to enhance DFS offerings.
- Lead initiatives for Value Engineering across the product range.
- Represent DFS EMEA on the Global Sourcing Steering Committee.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years experience in manufacturing or industry environment.
- Business-oriented financial professional.
- Excellent communication skills, results-oriented, capable of delivering quality results on time.
- Highly analytical skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, with a sense of urgency.
