We are currently looking for a Director of Shopify in Italy.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building and scaling a fast-growing Shopify channel into a major revenue driver within a performance-driven DTC environment. You will operate as the end‑to‑end owner of the Shopify business, combining technical expertise, data analytics, CRO and lifecycle marketing to accelerate growth. Initially hands‑on, the role evolves into leading a specialized team as the channel expands. You will play a critical role in shaping customer experience, optimizing conversion funnels and driving long‑term profitability. The position offers strong ownership, visibility and the opportunity to build a scalable e‑commerce engine from the ground up.
Accountabilities
- Own and scale the Shopify channel end‑to‑end, driving revenue growth, conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV) and customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Manage all aspects of the Shopify ecosystem, including themes, integrations, site performance and technical infrastructure.
- Lead rapid product‑launch execution, ensuring optimized product pages, bundles, subscriptions and merchandising strategies.
- Drive continuous CRO initiatives through A/B testing, funnel optimisation and data‑driven experimentation.
- Build and maintain advanced analytics dashboards to track performance across traffic, conversion, retention and unit economics.
- Ensure accurate tracking and attribution across marketing channels, proactively resolving technical or data‑integrity issues.
- Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies (email/SMS), improving retention, repeat purchases and subscription growth.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with paid media, creative, brand and operations teams to optimise funnel performance and customer experience.
- Establish scalable processes, SOPs and best practices to support long‑term channel growth.
- Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing Shopify team as the business scales.
Requirements
- Proven experience scaling Shopify stores within DTC brands, with measurable impact on revenue, CVR, AOV, LTV and retention.
- Strong expertise in Shopify, including themes, Liquid, apps, integrations and platform capabilities.
- Advanced skills in analytics, CRO, A/B testing and performance optimisation, with experience building dashboards and interpreting data.
- Deep experience with lifecycle marketing tools such as Klaviyo, including segmentation, automation and revenue attribution.
- Solid understanding of tracking, attribution and pixel/event implementation across paid marketing channels.
- Experience in supplements, health/wellness or regulated DTC categories is highly preferred.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align marketing, creative and operations teams.
- Intrapreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Leadership experience or readiness to build and manage teams in a fast‑scaling environment.
