Director of Sales Marketing

Baccarat Hotels & Resorts · Latina, Italia ·

Descrizione dell'offerta

Baccarat Hotel Rome is due to open at the end of 2026 and will be Baccarat’s first hotel in Europe . We are seeking a commercially driven Director of Sales & Marketing with a strong bias to sales leadership —someone who can open a new market for the brand, build the sales engine from day one, and convert relationships into meaningful, measurable business through opening and beyond.

The Role

This is a hands-on, build-and-deliver role. You will establish Baccarat’s sales presence in Rome and across key feeder markets, create the account strategy, set targets and cadence, and build the team, tools, and routines needed to drive performance. Marketing will support the sales plan, but success in this role is defined by pipeline creation, account penetration, production, and pace .

Key Responsibilities (Sales-Led)

  • Own the sales strategy and pre-opening plan for a 2026 opening: segmentation, target lists, account priorities, and production goals.
  • Build Baccarat’s market entry approach in Europe: identify and activate new feeder markets, set representation/agency strategy, and establish a strong trade footprint.
  • Lead proactive new business development across all market segments
  • Build and manage a disciplined sales pipeline : CRM set-up, prospecting cadence, sales calls, reporting, conversion routines, and performance tracking.
  • Recruit and lead the sales team to a clear set of KPIs, standards, and accountability.
  • Partner with revenue/operations/marketing on pace, forecasting, and mix , ensuring a strong ramp-up into opening.

Experience & Profile

  • Proven success in senior hotel sales leadership (DOSM / Director of Sales / commercial leadership), within luxury hotels a must .
  • Demonstrated ability to open new markets and build business where a brand is not yet established—strong network and strong prospecting discipline.
  • Pre-opening experience strongly preferred , including building teams, systems, and sales infrastructure from scratch.
  • Strong travel trade knowledge (consortia, luxury advisors, agency relationships) and ability to operate credibly across corporate and partnerships.
  • Structured operator: comfortable with targets, CRM hygiene, reporting, and sales cadence—balanced with strong relationship skills.
  • Rome/Italy market understanding is a plus; wider European feeder market experience highly valued.

To Apply

  • Please submit your CV and a short note outlining your sales achievements, pre-opening experience, and examples of building new-market demand (accounts, trade partnerships, or feeder market development).
