Baccarat, the legendary French Maison synonymous with craftsmanship, elegance, and timeless luxury, is preparing to unveil its first international hotel beyond New York.
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Rooms to lead the hotel's guest experience operations and establish Baccarat Hotel Rome as a benchmark for ultra-luxury hospitality.
The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Rooms will oversee all Rooms Division operations, ensuring every aspect of the guest journey reflects the highest standards of luxury, personalisation, and service excellence.
This role requires an accomplished luxury hospitality leader with extensive experience in Forbes Five-Star environments and a passion for creating extraordinary guest experiences. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building the culture, standards, and service philosophy for this landmark opening.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Rooms Division operations during pre-opening and ongoing hotel operations.
- Develop and maintain Forbes Five-Star service standards across all guest touchpoints.
- Oversee Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Relations, VIP Services, Butler Program, Housekeeping, Laundry, Call Centre, and Reservations functions.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing luxury service team.
- Establish service standards, operating procedures, and quality assurance programs.
- Ensure flawless execution of guest arrivals, departures, and personalized experiences.
- Develop and oversee VIP recognition and guest preference programs.
- Partner closely with Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, and Engineering to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, quality metrics, and service recovery initiatives.
- Lead departmental budgeting, labour management, and operational planning.
About You
- Significant leadership experience as Director of Rooms, Hotel Manager, or similar senior Rooms Division role within internationally recognized luxury hotels.
- Demonstrated experience operating within Forbes Five-Star environments is essential.
- Proven expertise managing Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Relations, VIP Services, Butler Operations, Housekeeping, Laundry, Call Centre, and Reservations.
- Previous luxury hotel pre-opening experience.
- Strong understanding of luxury guest expectations and personalized service delivery.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- Commercially astute with strong operational and financial management skills.
- Fluent in English & Italian.
