Director Of Production And Data Set Operations

We’re looking for a hands‑on, results‑driven Director of Production and Data Set Operations to own the end‑to‑end production and delivery for ALLSIDES’ two core offerings: our 3D datasets and 3D scanners.

This is a key leadership role at the heart of our operations. You’ll drive performance across all scanning and production facilities, ensuring on‑time delivery and consistent quality, while building scalable processes and high‑performing teams that grow with our commercial ambitions. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Research, and Commercial teams to align production capacity with business demand, and bring a servant‑leader mindset to everything you do.

This full‑time role is located on‑site at our office in Brixen / Bressanone, Italy.

Main Responsibilities

• Build and mentor high‑performing production teams – Define hiring needs as we scale and step in to cover operational gaps when needed
• Production Operations – Oversee scanning facilities and scanner production teams to meet throughput, quality, and delivery targets; Drive continuous workflow improvements and eliminate bottlenecks across scanning, processing, and QA
• Quality & Throughput – Develop and enforce QA / QC of the processes for both datasets and scanners, aligned with client specifications; Act as the main escalation point for production issues, reducing cycle times and rework
• Capacity Planning & Scaling – Forecast resource needs and align production capacity with business growth and commercial pipeline; Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase throughput and reduce manual effort

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production or data operations, ideally in a high‑volume environment and preferably in a leadership role
• Track record of scaling operations in a fast‑growing tech company
• Strong operational mindset, able to balance quality, speed, and cost effectively
• Data‑driven approach, comfortable with production metrics, KPIs, and capacity planning
• Hands‑on experience with project management and operations tooling (ERP, JIRA, or similar)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English and either German or Italian required

Nice to Have

• Experience in hardware production, 3D content or AI training data
• Familiarity with dataset delivery workflows
• Experience introducing automation into physical or digital production environments
• Background collaborating across Engineering, R&D, and Commercial teams
