What You Will Be Doing

• Building and demonstrating comprehensive education product expertise to inform strategic direction
• Creating technical specifications that resolve critical technical decisions while prioritizing simplicity, efficiency, and sustainable long‑term architecture
• Deploying generative AI technologies to automate and optimize engineering workflows, consistent with the organizational objective of minimizing manual effort

• Pure people management; this position relies primarily on your business insight and technical expertise
• Spending time in meetings, committees, and administrative overhead; we have automated managerial processes so you can concentrate on delivering business value through direct execution
• Abstract strategies disconnected from execution; your recommendations must derive from product‑level understanding

Director Of Product Architecture Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the CTO for one or more education products, controlling core technical competencies and generating business value through flawless execution and strategic choices

Basic Requirements

• Substantial experience or demonstrated interest in data‑driven learning science
• 7+ years of experience making critical architecture and design decisions on software projects, including the application of architecture design patterns or major open‑source technologies
• 2+ years of experience making design decisions that involve cloud computing services (primarily AWS)
• 4+ years of experience in roles with complete technical and delivery ownership of a revenue‑generating product
• Experience developing product features that incorporate advanced use of Generative AI
• Experience applying Generative AI to streamline work processes

Working with us

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
