Director of Leisure Sales, Mandarin Oriental Milan & Paris. Based at Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Sales Department. The Director of Leisure Sales is responsible for overseeing the Leisure Sales strategy for the hotel in Milan and, since MOMLN & MOPAR belong to the same Group of companies, could be involved in the Leisure Sales strategy for Mandarin Oriental, Paris. The Director of Leisure Sales reports to the Director of Sales.

Mandarin Oriental, Milan offers 104 guestrooms, 32 suites, the fine-dining restaurant Seta, a bar-bistro Mandarin Garden + Bistrot, and The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Milan with a holistic approach to rejuvenation and relaxation. The hotel has two versatile function rooms. The Director of Leisure Sales is responsible for developing and executing the Leisure Sales strategy for Milan, with potential involvement in Paris as part of the Group.
Responsibilities
- Ensure coverage of assigned and responsible multi-markets.
- Manage key and prospect leisure accounts.
- Attend customer events, trade shows and sales missions to build and sustain relationships with local and international leisure travel partners.
- Prospect and generate new business from the leisure market.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the Sales Team to track performance and monitor strategy effectiveness.
- Carry out site visits per company standards.
- Provide exemplary customer service to drive satisfaction and loyalty before, during and after stay/program/event.
- Maintain awareness of current and future competitors (product, offers/pricing, renovations, inventory, etc.).
- Achieve annual revenue goals based on budget.
- Implement strategic actions based on hotel segmentation.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align campaigns and promotions with leisure sales initiatives.
- Work with reservations and revenue teams to optimize leisure segment pricing and availability.
- Participate in branded conference calls.
- Communicate with Regional Sales Offices in assigned territories to maximize sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with standard applications.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
- Established professional network.
- Excellent business negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
- Available to travel abroad.
- Excellent verbal, written and non-verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are beneficial.
- Professional business appearance and presentation.
- Quality-driven with a passion for excellence.
- Degree or Higher National Diploma (or equivalent) in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management.
- Minimum 8/10 years of experience in a 5-star hotel environment within Sales and Banqueting.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
