Overview
Director of Housekeeping (M/F) for Hotel Pitrizza in Sardinia. The Maison has been taken over by LVMH Hotel Management since January 1, 2024. Be an inspirational ambassador in Housekeeping, leading by example through enthusiasm and guidance. This role is a key point of contact for guests and involves actively commercialising the Maison while driving continual improvement of the housekeeping department.
The Director of Housekeeping supervises ambassadors, manages budgets and reports for housekeeping operations, and collaborates with other departments to ensure service excellence.
General Operations
- Elevates the guest experience by ensuring all housekeeping duties are performed to the highest hotel standards.
- Leads daily housekeeping activities, ensuring every Ambassador consistently delivers exceptional service.
- Analyzes key data to prepare reports and budgets, driving efficient operations and resource allocation.
- Guarantees every occupied room is impeccably cleaned and prepared daily, exceeding guest expectations.
- Maintains exceptional standards by implementing a rigorous daily inspection program for guest rooms, back of house, and public areas.
- Manages Private Bar inventory, ensuring amenities are consistently stocked for guest convenience.
Financial and Administration
- Develops and manages the department's annual budget in collaboration with Finance, aligning with the overall business strategy.
- Implements strict cost control measures to achieve financial targets, maximizing profitability and resource efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with purchasing and store requisition procedures, maintaining strong vendor relationships and supply chain effectiveness.
- Guarantees the availability of all necessary resources and materials through proactive par stock management, in partnership with Purchasing and Stores.
Human Resources
- Actively builds a strong team culture by participating in HR events, recruiting top talent, and seamlessly integrating new Ambassadors to uphold service standards.
- Collaborates with Learning & Development to design and deliver impactful training programs that enhance skills and ensure operational excellence.
- Empowers Ambassadors by setting clear goals, providing regular performance appraisals, and offering constructive feedback for professional growth.
- Cultivates a positive and supportive work environment by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering open communication through an open-door policy.
Policies and Procedures
- Represents the Maison with excellence through impeccable grooming and adherence to CB Living standards.
- Ensures operational efficiency and safety by consistently following Ambassador Handbook guidelines, departmental policies, and emergency procedures.
- Connects with the Maison's purpose by developing a deep understanding and embodiment of the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Elevates the guest experience by professionally resolving complaints, adhering to Maison policies, and exceeding expectations.
Role details
- Reporting: Room Division Manager; dotted line to General Manager; hierarchical relation to Department Heads.
- Leadership: manage by example, inspiring and motivating the team to make decisions aligned with brand values.
- Profile: autonomous, detail-oriented, empathetic, and passionate about delivering high-quality service.
- Location: Sardinia (permanent position).
- Languages: Italian and English.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of Opera Cloud, Unifocus, and Material Control.
