Director Medical Affairs – Region Europe
Our client, a leading international pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Director Medical Affairs – Region Europe to join their European headquarters in Paris.
The Role
As Director Medical Affairs – Region Europe, you will shape and execute the regional medical strategy for the clinical nutrition and hospital care portfolio. You will drive evidence generation, foster scientific exchange, and build trusted partnerships with the medical and scientific community. Collaborating cross‑functionally with Commercial Operations, Market Access, Regulatory, and Global teams, you will ensure patient‑centric and compliant impact throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the regional medical strategy in alignment with global and corporate teams.
- Support clinical studies and evidence generation, including protocol review and investigator/site identification.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, academic centers, and medical societies.
- Organize scientific and educational events, define target audiences, KPIs, and manage deliverables.
- Provide medical input for regional projects, launches, and market access initiatives.
- Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate internal training and continuous medical/scientific updates for cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- Advanced clinical/scientific degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent).
- Experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with a focus on clinical nutrition and hospital care products.
- Solid understanding of European regulations and compliance in medical affairs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment and travel as needed.
