Johnson & Johnson is recruiting a Director, Digital & Data – Source within IMSC Procurement Excellence.
Locations: Zug (CH), Titusville (US), Cork (IE), Beerse (BE), Leiden (NL).
Key Responsibilities
- Own and articulate the long‑term digital product vision and strategy for the Source domain within IMSC Procurement.
- Own the digital Source domain and work with the other domains to ensure PCM’s requirements are met; chair the Source Domain.
- Establish and govern the product operating model, ensuring alignment with J&J enterprise digital standards and clean core principles.
- Partner with JJT and Digital teams and functional Procurement leaders to ensure proactive prioritisation and timely delivery of technology projects based on business needs and requirements.
- Provide oversight with the Business Product Owners for the design and deployment of digital products in Competitive Sourcing, Strategic Partner Management, Service, and Resiliency.
- Lead prioritisation of product backlog and multi‑year roadmap based on business value, risk, regulatory compliance, and total cost impact.
- Drive harmonisation and standardisation of global sourcing processes supported by digital platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, procurement analytics tools).
- Partner with Procurement Leadership, Supply Chain, IT, Data Governance, and Finance to ensure cross‑functional integration.
- Oversee delivery of digital capabilities supporting supplier onboarding, risk management, sustainability, compliance, and contract lifecycle management.
- Ensure alignment to regulatory standards (GxP, SOX, audit readiness) within procurement digital systems.
- Establish value‑tracking frameworks to measure cost savings, working capital impact, supplier performance improvements, and compliance adherence.
- Build and lead high‑performing product teams, fostering agile ways of working and accountability for outcomes.
- Act as executive liaison for enterprise transformation initiatives impacting the Source domain.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, Supply Chain, Data, or Engineering) preferred.
Experience and Skills – Required
- At least 12 years of increasing leadership experience in Digital or Data Product Management and Supply Chain and/or Procurement.
- Extensive knowledge of Pharma Sourcing, supplier qualification, contracting, and compliance procedures.
- Good understanding of SCOR model, lean and Six Sigma principles and how to apply them in practice – a must.
- History of leading enterprise digital transformation projects (e.g., SAP S/4, Ariba, Coupa).
- Demonstrated expertise in product ownership and governance of roadmaps on an enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of procurement master data, supplier data governance, and frameworks for data quality.
- Experience working within regulated healthcare settings.
- Possesses executive presence and can influence senior stakeholders worldwide.
- Capable of integrating strategic vision across multiple functions.
- High technical proficiency with complex technology‑based solutions.
- Sound business judgment in Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance areas.
- Clear insight into external Supply Chain developments.
- Able to foster a culture of harmonisation, process improvement, and value creation.
- Effective collaborator focused on performance improvement.
- Establishes clear communication channels and shared goals and objectives.
- Excels in analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills; strong interdependent partnering and team management abilities.
- Can manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic matrix environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines; adept at influencing without direct authority, building consensus, and collaborating across departments and levels.
- Required negotiation skills and ability to influence without formal authority.
- Capable of coaching and mentoring others.

- Experience in global matrix organisations.
- Familiarity with data monetisation and advanced analytics within procurement.
- Experience managing large, distributed product teams.
