Role & Responsibilities
Prometeon Tyre Group is looking for a Direct Procurement Intern to join the Group Sourcing – Direct Material team at the Group Headquarters in Milan.
The selected candidate will support the procurement of raw materials and assist sourcing operational activities for assigned categories, in line with financial, quality, and delivery targets.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the intern will contribute to aligning procurement activities with business objectives and will support the team in the following activities:
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends
- Assist in analyzing, tracking, and coordinating group contracts, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders
- Monitor the progress of new raw material activities with suppliers and stakeholders in compliance with internal procedures
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance, addressing issues and improvement areas
- Consolidate supplier performance reports for annual vendor rating campaigns
- Support suppliers’ economic and financial analysis, including spending analysis
Requirements
- Enrollment in Master’s Degree in Management, Economics, Supply Chain, or Management Engineering (curricular internship required )
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving mindset
- Full proficiency in Italian and English
- Ability to work independently; proactive, flexible, and open-minded attitude
- SAP knowledge is considered a plus
