We are seeking a Payment Cards & Digital Wallet Specialist to support a leading Payments client on initiatives related to card issuing, tokenization, and digital wallets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of digital wallet payment solutions (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Huawei Pay), including Bancomat
  • Manage card tokenization activities and related Identification & Verification (ID&V) processes.
  • Contribute to the enablement and certification of new payment products across schemes and wallets.
  • Provide functional support on debit and credit card issuing, including BIN management and product configuration.
  • Collaborate with PSPs and specialized vendors for technical integrations via APIs, ISO messaging, and third‑party solutions.
  • Support wallet operations in case of card block, theft, or loss, including end‑to‑end token lifecycle management.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders (IT, Compliance, vendors, schemes) to ensure regulatory and technical alignment.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of wallets supporting the Bancomat scheme: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Huawei Pay.
  • Strong knowledge of digital wallets, tokenization, and card issuing (debit/credit).
  • Experience with ID&V methods and authentication protocols (e.g., 3DS).
  • Awareness of Bancomat limitations versus international schemes (Visa/Mastercard), particularly for e‑commerce and card‑on‑file use cases.
  • Solid understanding of the PSD2 framework and Bank of Italy regulations, including:
  • Non compliance of SMS OTP
  • Increasing adoption of 3D Secure for authentication.
  • Knowledge of wallet implementation models: direct integration, ISO messaging, and third‑party APIs.
  • Familiarity with specialized wallet PSPs (e.g. Worldline or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of card BIN management, including the distinction between debit and credit products.
  • Awareness that product classification is defined at BIN level, not BIN range.
  • Knowledge of token behavior in wallets in case of card block, theft, or loss (temporary suspension, deletion, reactivation).
  • Nice‑to‑have: understanding of automatic token migration processes subject to customer consent.
