We’re looking for a sharp, detail-oriented, and analytical person to support our Payment & Fraud department located in Milan. This role is a perfect match for someone who has recently completed an internship or has one year of experience and is eager to build a career in digital payments and fraud prevention within a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Monitoring: Daily oversight of transactions to flag suspicious activity, with a specific focus on “high-ticket” luxury items and limited-edition releases.
- Fraud Detection & Analysis: Deep-dive into fraud patterns (account takeovers, bot activity, identity theft) and stay ahead of emerging threats in the resale and luxury markets.
- Identity & Trust: Manage digital identity verification processes for new and high-profile buyers.
- Chargeback & Dispute Management: Lead the investigation of chargebacks and “Item Not Received” (INR) claims to minimize financial loss.
- Strategic Support: Assist the Manager in refining fraud rules and logic within our detection tools.
- Cross-functional Synergy: Partner with Customer Support, Logistics, and Finance to ensure flagged orders are processed or cancelled efficiently.
- Reporting: Maintain precise documentation and contribute to KPIs and fraud-prevention dashboards.
- Education: Degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related fields.
- Experience: Previous internship/1 year experience in payments or e-commerce.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, or BI tools is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, integrity, and fluency in English.
- Plus: Passion for the sneaker/luxury market and familiarity with payment/fraud platforms (e.g., Adyen, Riskified).
