DevOps Engineer with German (AWS)

We’re looking for a highly engaged DevOps Engineer for one of our projects within a large‑scale telecommunications environment, supporting a Digital Factory responsible for modernizing core business systems. The project focuses on evolving a complex IT landscape by transitioning legacy systems into scalable microservices architectures, enabling high availability and performance for millions of customers.
It is a modern, technically challenging project that offers real ownership, scale, and the chance to make a visible impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery across multiple systems and environments
- Support the development teams in deploying and operating applications on cloud and container platforms (e.g., AWS, OpenShift/Kubernetes)
- Ensure reliable and automated deployments across environments, from development to production
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to improve system reliability and delivery speed
- Implement and promote DevOps best practices, including infrastructure as code, monitoring, and logging
- Manage and optimize containerized applications and microservices architectures
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and scalability
- Contribute to the setup and maintenance of platform services, including configuration management and secret handling
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in automation, deployment processes, and system resilience
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures
What You’ll Bring Along
- Bachelor’s degree in Informatics or a similar field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git-based pipelines)
- Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Good understanding of microservices architectures and modern software development practices
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, ElasticSearch or similar)
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
- Very good English and German communication skills, written and spoken
- Ability to work in agile environments and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
