Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Enginee r with solid experience in enterprise environments and mission-critical infrastructures. In this role, you will have full autonomy over a broad technological scope, guide technical decisions, lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities, and act as a key point of reference and mentor for more junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Orchestration & GitOps: manage multi-cluster operations (Dev/QA/Prod) on Kubernetes / AKS , handling advanced troubleshooting and secret management via SOPS + age .
• CI/CD Automation: design and optimize Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML, shared templates, environment promotion processes, and build queues).
• Migration & Infrastructure: manage the transition and coexistence of mixed environments (legacy Linux VMs with Tomcat ↔ AKS), overseeing packaging (Docker/JIB) and application builds within the JVM ecosystem (Java 8→25, Spring Boot) .
• Observability & Incident Management: lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive end-to-end production incident management, leveraging advanced monitoring tools.
• Security & Quality Gates: ensure code and container security by supervising policies and vulnerability remediation (Snyk, SonarQube, AppScan ).
• Mentoring & Leadership: serve as the team's technical reference point, promoting knowledge transfer and interfacing with clients and vendors.

Requirements:

• Containers & GitOps: Kubernetes (AKS), kubectl, Helm / Helmfile, SOPS / age.
• Cloud & CI/CD: Azure (AKS, ACR, basic networking, Storage), Azure DevOps Pipelines (YAML).
• Version Control: Git / Bitbucket (Cloud & Data Center), excellent knowledge of branching strategies and release management.
• Java/JVM Ecosystem: Maven, Java (versions 8 to 25), Spring Boot, Tomcat, Docker/JIB.
• Data & Streaming: Kafka / Confluent Cloud, RabbitMQ, MySQL (InnoDB Cluster), MongoDB (operations and diagnostic queries).
• Networking & CDN: Akamai, Apache, Traefik (reverse proxy), mod_jk.
• OS & Scripting: Linux (VM administration, SSH, Bash scripting).
• Observability & Security: Elastic APM, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Thanos, Splunk (or Datadog), Snyk, SonarQube, HCL AppScan.
• Ownership & Autonomy: end-to-end approach to problem-solving and a strong result-oriented mindset.
• Structured Communication: ability to manage weekly progress meetings (SAL/status reports), incident reporting, and effective communication in time-critical situations (hotfixes/releases).

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Terraform / IaC (applied to Confluent or Datadog).
• Familiarity with AWS messaging services (SNS, SQS, Pinpoint, SES).
• Proficiency with HashiCorp Vault .
• Experience with Keycloak / Azure AD B2C / OAuth-PKCE integrations.
• Previous experience in the Retail / Eyecare domain (booking and appointment systems).
