Offer Description The research activity concerns the development and characterization of miniaturized optical systems for in vivo monitoring of neuronal activity through calcium imaging.
Master Degree in Physics Demonstrated expertise in physics applied to life sciences, biophotonics and optical microscopy. Experience in the design, implementation, alignment and characterization of optical and optomechanical systems for fluorescence imaging. Experience in the development of miniaturized microscopes or compact optical devices for in vivo measurements, with particular reference to functional neuroimaging based on fluorescent calcium indicators. Knowledge of calcium-imaging techniques, fluorescence excitation and detection systems, and of the main issues related to optical signal acquisition in animal models.
