Design Release Engineer

As part of the development of Abylsen Italy, specialized in IT, Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant) and Energy, we are looking for a Design Release Engineer in the automotive sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.

What is the challenge?

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

• Support engine design development through technical assessments, design reviews, and feasibility evaluations.
• Prepare, maintain, and release technical documentation, drawings, components/system development plan and specifications, and CAD models according to program timelines.
• Assist in troubleshooting activities, contributing to root cause analyses and definition of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Virtual Analysis, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers) for robust and manufacturable designs.
• Manage design changes and ensure proper release and configuration control within PLM systems.
• Contribute to DFMEA/SFMEA/DRBFM preparation, design verification plans, and design validation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably on engines and automotive components.
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of engine systems, components, and mechanical design principles.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (NX) and PLM systems.
• Understanding of design verification and validation processes.
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
