As part of the development of Abylsen Italy, specialized in IT, Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant) and Energy, we are looking for a Design Release Engineer in the automotive sector to integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.
What is the challenge?
MAIN ACTIVITIES :
- Support engine design development through technical assessments, design reviews, and feasibility evaluations.
- Prepare, maintain, and release technical documentation, drawings, components/system development plan and specifications, and CAD models according to program timelines.
- Assist in troubleshooting activities, contributing to root cause analyses and definition of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Virtual Analysis, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers) for robust and manufacturable designs.
- Manage design changes and ensure proper release and configuration control within PLM systems.
- Contribute to DFMEA/SFMEA/DRBFM preparation, design verification plans, and design validation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably on engines and automotive components.
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
- Basic knowledge of engine systems, components, and mechanical design principles.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (NX) and PLM systems.
- Understanding of design verification and validation processes.
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
