Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process from concept through construction documentation for new builds and retrofits.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architectural, structural, MEP, civil) to ensure cohesive and optimised designs.
- Manage external design consultants and contractors to meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Review and approve design documents for compliance with codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, TIA-942).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (project managers, operations, IT) to align design with operational needs.
- Conduct design reviews and value engineering to optimise performance, cost, and sustainability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in design and construction, with at least 3 years in data centre or mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure systems (power, cooling, fire protection, security).
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency standards (e.g., LEED, ISO 50001) is a plus.
- Professional license(PE, RA) preferred.
