Offer Description
The growing need to enhance the performance and safety of life support systems, calls for the design and validation of increasingly complex systems and devices capable of optimizing the learning curve in surgical practice. These requirements necessitate the establishment of realistic in vitro biomechanical testing protocols designed that accurately replicate the complexity of the application, while accounting for the variability in the population's anatomical and physiological characteristics. Research activities focus on optimizing cardiovascular life support systems and on designing and developing patient-specific phantoms for general surgery (pancreatic, hepatic, and renal), orthopedics and gynecology. Teaching activities will be conducted within the framework of the Bachelor's and Master's degree academic programs in Biomedical Engineering Italian or foreign applicants, who have a PhD or equivalent qualification, obtained in Italy or abroad are admitted to selection process. In addition, in the past 5 years, they must have authored, co-authored, or edited a number of publications, accepted texts, essays included in collections, and articles published in print or digital journals equal to or exceeding the minimum required number of 12, excluding internal notes or departmental reports.
