Our Client is an Italian engineering company specialized in advanced industrial water treatment and recycling solutions, primarily serving global cosmetic and pharmaceutical groups. Headquartered near Bergamo, Italy, the company designs and installs high-performance modular systems enabling significant water reuse and operational efficiency for industrial clients.

With strong international exposure (approx. 80% of revenues generated outside Italy) and a fast-growing pipeline of complex projects, the Client is strengthening its organization to accelerate international expansion and consolidate its leadership in sustainable water technologies.

The Company is a private family SME, recently backed by a leading European private equity firm focused on environmental sustainability and is currently entering a new phase of international expansion and organizational strengthening to support its next stage of growth .

Position – The role:

The new role of Deputy Head of Installation & Service will report to and work very closely with the Head of Installation and Service and has been designed to help leading projects on the ground on one side, and scaling the company’s global installation and after-sales service operations on the other. He/she will have direct responsibility for construction site operations, and for the final outcome on-site, through to the delivery of a fully functional and high-performing facility.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

The role combines technical leadership, strong operational management on site and customer-facing responsibilities . It will be instrumental in supporting the company’s international growth. Direct responsibilities will include:

• Ensure full domain on site of projects’ installation and commissioning of complex water recycling plants worldwide. Ensure timely delivery, and efficient project management and field operations processes, to enhance scalability.
• Strengthen operational processes, project management and service organization to support rapid international expansion. Introduce tools for planning, resource allocation and service scheduling.
• Operate with high standards of safety, compliance and quality
• Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term performance of installed systems, as a key driver for growing the business further

Requirements (“Must have”):

• Technical diploma; Technical Degree eventually a plus
• 10 /12+ years of overall experience in installation, commissioning, field service or operations roles within: Industrial water treatment (preferably - understanding of water treatment technologies - membrane systems, filtration, wastewater treatment - is a plus), or Pre-assembled industrial equipment installed at customer sites (e.g., heat generators, pumps, chillers), or Industrial automation, piping, water systems and welding
• Proven experience managing international installations and field service teams, with frequent travelling and working on site with clients
• Project management capabilities (PMO)
• Experience with industrial process plants or complex engineered systems
• Experience of developing aftermarket/service business models would be a strong plus
• Strong willingness to travel extensively (80%)

Location : North of Italy, Bergamo area

Languages : Fluency in English is a must; French language nice to have
