Deputy Civil Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Deputy Civil Engineering Manager to join the Engineering Department and become a part of our Team in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan).
Role and responsibilities:
- Help ensure that all engineering activities related to civil discipline are executed timely, efficiently and cost-effectively in accordance with contract specification, quality standards and safety requirements
- Develop alternative technical solutions guaranteeing high quality standards and profitability increase.
- Promote effective collaboration, synergistic integration and efficient learning environment.
- Maintain and develop the specific know-how pertaining to the discipline.
- Help define and monitor the organization and the resources needed to develop the projects as required.
- Help Management define the needs of training for the internal people and the investments necessary to empower and to develop people’s skills.
- Support Civil Chief Engineers in reviewing engineering progress and in ensuring high engineering quality.
- Help Management check and review Civil Discipline KPI.
- Support Proposal Dept. during bid phase, defining technical solutions.
- Support Chief Engineers during work requisitions preparation (quantity, scope of work, work description etc.) and technical evaluation.
- Assist Management in providing proper coordination with other engineering disciplines both on projects & proposal and when standard methodologies are developed.
Core competencies:
- Civil Engineering background.
- Knowledge of major international Civil and Structural Codes.
- Structural calculation knowledge.
- Experience in Civil Engineering leading in large EPC/Energy projects .
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Minimum 10-15 years experience in Civil Engineering for large EPC/Energy projects.
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Civil Engineering.
