Department Manager - Layout & Piping Engineering

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful project delivery with a strong focus on quality schedule adherence and resource planning.
• Take full ownership of technical and organizational decisions within the Layout & Piping discipline.
• Lead and empower a dynamic engineering team dedicated to Layout & Piping activities.
• Coach motivate and develop team members defining clear growth paths and fostering accountability.
• Promote collaboration knowledge sharing and continuous professional development across the team.
• Build and maintain a high‑performing expert and sustainable engineering organization

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of strong expertise in piping engineering and more than 5 years of experience managing Layout and Piping departments including layout design and planning material selection pipe supports and flexibility / stress analysis.
• Strong experience in managing pipe classes and valves ensuring technical accuracy compliance and high engineering standards.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage conflicts constructively and mentor team members to strengthen overall team capabilities.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a solution‑oriented mindset and a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills and ability to build strong professional relationships.
• Fluency in English and Italian required.
