DEMAND PLANNER INTERNSHIP

A Demand Planner has accountability for the overall quality of the demand plan for their portfolio and/or market. They will have solid functional knowledge and be accountable for the relevant Demand performance metrics as well as adherence to standard work processes. A Demand Planner will receive input from both Sales and Marketing resources, as well as Supply Planning teams to bring the best business intelligence to bear on the demand plan and to highlight any potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Demand planning team in delivering a strong Demand Plan for assigned portfolio and markets.

Support consensus forecast, in periods for the full horizon (up to 39 periods).

Support the team Continuous Improvement plan with ideas, analysis as required and work on efficiency projects across the cluster.

Context and Scope

Demand Planning team will build solid functional knowledge to deliver the best possible demand plan for their portfolio. They will collaborate with market Sales, Marketing, Supply, and Finance resources within S&OP process, using available statistical forecasting tools, as well as business intelligence input, assess trends, risks and opportunities together with Sales, Marketing and Finance.

Utilise standard work processes for building blocks and identification of Risks & Opportunities.

They will review the demand performance, and take Improvement actions based on trend results, as well as best-In-class processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering, or a related field.
  • Supply chain knowledge and experience in planning processes would be an advantage.
  • Digitally savvy and strong learning agility with process and systems.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work in fast-paced, uncertain environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and team collaboration ability.
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages being a plus.
