Demand & Inventory Planning Intern (M/F)

This internship opportunity is open only to candidates whose first language is Italian.

Context :

Reporting to the Supply Chain team, you will support demand forecasting and inventory optimization activities to ensure product availability while minimizing logistics costs.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Demand Planning

• Support the development of sales forecasts (short, mid, and long term)
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to refine forecasts
• Monitor gaps between forecasts and actual sales (forecast accuracy )

2. Inventory Planning

• Assist in managing inventory levels (central warehouse and/or distribution centers)
• Help define replenishment parameters (safety stock, MOQ, lead time)
• Identify risks of stockouts or overstock and propose corrective actions
• Contribute to stock optimization and obsolescence reduction initiatives

3. Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the optimization of planning tools and processes
• Participate in cross-functional Supply Chain projects (digitalization, automation, S&OP, etc.)

Profile:

Education

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Business School, Engineering School, or University)
• Specialization in Supply Chain, Logistics, Data, or related field
• Mother tongue italian and fluent in english

Skills

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas; VBA or Power Query is a plus)
• Strong analytical mindset and affinity for data
• Understanding of Supply Chain fundamentals (forecasting, inventory, flows)

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proactive and autonomous
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to structure and synthesize information
