POSITION | Defence Business Development Expert
Location: Greater Vicenza Metropolitan Area - HYBRID
Profile
To accelerate our growth within the Defence sector, we are looking for a dynamic and technically-minded Defence Business Development Expert. This operational role is designed for a proactive professional who will act as the frontline contact for the Defence industry. Utilizing a strong technical understanding of our machinery and production processes, the person will focus on scouting opportunities, establishing initial technical contacts, and guiding clients through the product qualification journey.
Key Responsibilities
Actively scout the market to identify and create initial contact with technical stakeholders, R&D departments, and procurement teams within Defence suppliers and OEMs.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, translating their technical requirements into feasible solutions using the company's machinery portfolio.
Hands-on management of the day-to-day activities related to component validation, testing protocols, and product qualification processes for military applications.
Support the operational sales pipeline, preparing technical offers, presentations, and documentation required for Defence tenders and vendor registration.
Work closely with internal engineering and production teams to ensure customer technical specifications and certification standards are met on time.
Requirements
~5/7 years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, or application engineering, preferably with exposure to the Defence, Aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing sectors.
~ Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace) or strong technical background in industrial manufacturing and testing processes will be preferred.
~ Proactive attitude with a passion for lead generation, cold-outreach, and building technical relationships from scratch.
~ Familiarity with industrial manufacturing standards, certification processes, and quality controls.
~ Strong capability to explain complex machinery features and technical advantages to engineers and buyers alike.
