Job Title: DBA / Technical Architect (Freelance Opportunity)

  • Location: Full Remote - either Milan or Turin(Occasional travel if required)
  • Languages: English (mandatory), Italian (mandatory), (Spanish or French a plus).
  • Experience: 5+ years

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) / Technical Architect to join our team on a freelance basis. This role involves designing robust database architectures, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting critical business applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database architecture for high availability and scalability.
  • Manage database administration tasks : installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure data security , backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and application performance.
  • Provide technical guidance on infrastructure and integration projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure system reliability.


Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
  • Experience with database performance tuning , indexing, and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps tools .
  • Ability to design high-availability architectures and implement replication strategies .
  • Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes .


Soft Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and ability to lead technical discussions.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented approach.


Additional Details

  • Location: Remote (authorized teleworking), occasional presence in Milan/Turin.
  • Languages: Fluent English (Spanish or French a plus).
  • Engagement: Freelance / third‑party consultants welcome.
  • Flexibility: Tariff negotiable.
  • PC provided if necessary.
  • No travel required.
