Database Administrator (DBA) - Italy

Freelance | 6–12 months | Full-time | Remote

We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join a long-term freelance project within a structured enterprise environment.

This is a full-time remote collaboration, with immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and optimize database environments
• Ensure high availability, performance and security of databases
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot performance issues
• Handle backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes
• Support database migrations and upgrades
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams

Requirements

• Strong experience as a DBA (SQL-based environments)
• Experience with databases such as MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB
• Experience working with databases on AWS (RDS or similar)
• Solid knowledge of performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
• Good communication skills and ability to work in team environments
