We are currently looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join an international team for a project within the Digital Economy and AI domain.

This is a long-term far-site opportunity open to candidates located anywhere within the EU.

Location

Remote / Far-site (EU only)

Language

  • English required
  • Italian is a plus

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced data processing and analytics solutions
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
  • Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Develop automation workflows and scalable data solutions
  • Support AI and machine learning related initiatives
  • Contribute to data modelling, analytics architecture, and performance optimisation
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business analysts, and stakeholders
  • Produce technical documentation and participate in technical meetings

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Python 3
  • Experience with data processing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, TensorFlow or Keras
  • Excellent knowledge of Elasticsearch and Elastic Stack
  • Strong SQL and database knowledge
  • Experience with Oracle DB / PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Graph Databases (e.g. Neo4j)
  • Experience with ETL/data pipelines and workflow automation
  • Experience with data modelling and analytical query optimisation
  • Experience with scripting, testing, debugging, and automation

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of NLP / Machine Learning / Deep Learning
  • Experience with Kibana, Logstash, MongoDB, Apache Solr
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Italian language

  • Able to work independently in remote settings
  • Good communicators with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Working Method

  • Working distribution: 100% remote with only a few on-site presence per year for workshops, trip reimbursed by the client.
  • Long-term assignment with extensions
  • Work within an international and mission-critical IT ecosystem
