For our Data Team, we are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong foundation in software engineering to contribute to the development of robust data systems and pipelines. This role emphasizes delivering high-performance, maintainable, and scalable solutions while actively engaging in code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following modern software engineering principles.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Take part in on-call rotations to ensure system stability.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in programming languages like Scala/Java/Kotlin/Python, or similar.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, such as test-driven development, system design, and clean code practices.
- Experience with data streaming application, with Flink or Spark structured streaming and Kafka.
- Familiarity with data batch frameworks like Apache Spark orchestrated with Airflow.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
