Overview
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Data and GenAI Architect to design, implement, and manage AWS data-driven and AI solutions that meet customers’ technical requirements and business objectives. You will drive customer success through the cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle with a focus on data architecture, AI/ML implementations, and generative AI solutions.
As a Data and GenAI Architect, you will have a deep understanding of AWS products and services and will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure data platforms and AI solutions tailored to customer needs. You will gather requirements, assess current data infrastructures, and propose effective strategies for modern data architectures and GenAI solutions on AWS. You will lead the implementation process, ensure adherence to best practices, optimize performance, and manage risks throughout the project.
Key job responsibilities
- Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
- Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
- Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
- Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Data Lake implementation, including Hadoop/Spark expertise
- Demonstrated expertise in GenAI, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and production deployment experience
- Strong software development skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, R) with extensive ETL and data management experience
- Deep understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem (Sqoop, Kafka, HDFS, etc.) and SQL-on-Hadoop technologies (Hive, Spark SQL) with proven experience in Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) architectures
- Strong track record in implementing large-scale data warehousing
- Industry experience in developing novel AI/ML solutions at scale
- Strong track record in MLOps/LLMOps implementation and AI governance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- AWS Professional and Specialty certifications such as Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, etc., with deep expertise in AWS data services
