The Azure Data & AI Technical Specialist Manager is a senior leader within our enterprise sales organization. You will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing Technical Specialists to identify, drive technical solutioning, and win over the technical decision-maker in the Business and IT departments of our Enterprise Customers, leveraging Microsoft Data & AI solutions. You and your team will drive technical decisions for the customer that help them achieve business value with the Microsoft Platform, securing long-term sustainable growth for Microsoft. As a Technical Specialist Manager, you will be a key leader in helping customers embrace and succeed through digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- People Management : Deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring. Develop, lead, and coach a diverse, high-performing team of technology specialists that help customers make sound technical decisions and maximize the adoption and value of Microsoft solutions.
- Scale Customer Engagements : Enable and empower your team to influence customer decisions and ensure technical wins by streamlining processes and managing the flow of wins. Leverage deep knowledge of processes, align goals across solution areas, and facilitate cross-selling with various workloads (e.g., AI, Apps, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure).
- Increase Deal Velocity : Assess the progress of technical engagements at every stage and orchestrate your team, other Microsoft technical resources, and partners on digital transformation deals.
- Scale Through Partners : Maximize area-level capacity and capabilities through partner engagement. Coach the team to grow the partner network, identify gaps, and promote Microsoft within the ecosystem. Collaborate with cross-functional groups to raise escalations or resolve blockers.
- Build Strategy : Develop competitive strategies, coach internal teams, and collaborate with marketing to shape messaging.
- Education : Enable and empower the team to develop technical expertise and act as thought leaders by sharing best practices. Foster a learning culture to deepen skills in AI, Data & Analytics, Microsoft Cloud architecture, and enterprise stories.
