Key Responsibilities

• To support the Italian Underwriting Manager in the development of the annual business plan of the Italian D&O and FI portfolio
• Develop relationships with customers brokers, business partners, reinsurers and colleagues to maximise influence and achieve new and renewal business objectives
• Underwriting of D&O and FI Insurance products in accordance with the business plan and personal authority to meet business objectives, including: Negotiating rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business
• Production of offers (new business and renewal business); discussion and negotiation with brokers.
• Compliance with the production and issue of documentation in accordance with contract certainty requirements
• Ensure entries are properly recorded onto relevant systems in a timely manner whilst ensuring accuracy of data with relation to both underwriting and aggregate exposures
• Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviour’s as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to LSM’s commitment to placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity. LSM expects you to understand your responsibilities relating to all regulatory and internal requirements, and to proactively always demonstrate compliance with these requirements and behaviours. Skills and Experience

• Professional experience in the insurance industry (D&O and FI)
• Requires a good knowledge of underwriting concepts, practices, procedures and techniques, including, but not limited to coverage issues, product lines, marketing, computers and product competition within the marketplace.
• Good knowledge of a technical specialty and knowledge of other insurance areas that are part of the LSM offer, notably in the Italian Branch.
• The ability to effectively interact with brokers and internal departments is also required.
• Proven knowledge of D&O and FI products.
• Highly reliable
• Strong service oriented, high level of self-motivation
• Good working knowledge of English language
• Good MS-Office skills
