Hardware Designer Engineer – Project: Mission Critical Communications, PMR Radio & TETRA Access Network Engineering
Location: Firenze (Campi Bisenzio), Italy. Responsibilities
Analyze requirements and write detailed hardware project specifications. Design, prototype, test and validate complex analog and digital electronic boards. Integrate hardware with target systems and support qualification and validation tests. Leads PCB design in collaboration with the electronic CAD team. Support the industrialisation phases by working closely with production and stakeholders. Prepare complete Technical Data Packages and all documentation. Design and build lab equipment, cabling, and firmware necessary for hardware debugging. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications. Senior level with 7–10 years of relevant experience. Preferred experience in development or repair of radio or telecom radio equipment. Technical skills
Design and repair of electronic boards. Strong hands‑on skills in SMT component rework. Proficient in prototyping cabling. Knowledge of schematic and simulation tools. Experience with digital boards, high‑speed buses, signal integrity, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Familiarity with oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, logic analyser. Basic firmware development (PIC, microcontrollers, PLC, etc.). Behavioral competencies
Proactivity. Teamwork. Problem‑solving ability. Willingness to tackle tasks outside the specific domain. Language
Working knowledge of English (B1/B2). Travel
Occasional national and international travel. Benefits
