Cybersecurity Operations Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring effective monitoring, detection, investigation, and response to security events.
- Oversee incident response processes and act as escalation point for significant cybersecurity incidents. Lead forensic investigations and high-priority analyses.
- Manage the vulnerability management program across all perimeters (external, internal, cloud, and endpoint), driving remediation efforts.
- Plan, organize, and oversee penetration testing and red teaming activities, coordinating internal and external resources.
- Conduct security architecture reviews as part of the organization’s risk management framework.
- Analyze and manage Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) reports, evaluating risks and defining mitigation and remediation strategies.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure vulnerabilities, risks, and findings are clearly understood and effectively mitigated.
- Manage cybersecurity-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.
- Manage the lifecycle and budget of security service providers, tools, and platforms, ensuring effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Act as the designated Italian CSIRT representative, managing incident notifications and coordination with authorities in line with the NIS Directive.
DESIRED PROFILE:
- Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field;
candidates with a broader STEM background are also welcome. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity with solid understanding of SOC operations, security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies, for example:
- Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Cloud Security solutions, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, Vectra, BitSight, CyberArk, etc.
- Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Master’s degree or higher in cybersecurity or related fields.
- Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- Availability to travel occasionally.
