Customer Success Manager (permanent position) - SAP Academy for Customer Success - Italy (Hybrid) At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We are offering a permanent role in the SAP Academy for Customer Success Program, a 10‑month learn‑apply program designed for early‑career talent. Upon successful completion, you will move into a direct customer‑facing Customer Success Manager role in your market.

Recruitment Recruitment begins September 2026. By applying to this pipeline position, you have the option to get in contact with us early in the application cycle for our SAP Academy for Customer Success Program starting March 2027.

Responsibilities As a CSM within the SAPNext Gen Academy, you will be responsible for:

Successfully completing the 10‑month learn‑apply program, including classroom and field phases that enhance your support in the CSM role.

Immersing yourself in experiential learning focused on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, solution/industry knowledge, and strategy/tools/process.

Enhancing skills around your solution portfolio, managing customer retention, and driving value realization.

Receiving onboarding in your local market with on‑the‑job training and mentoring by a senior CSM professional, and working both behind the scenes and directly with customers.

Qualifications

2–3 years of experience supporting customers and driving business transformation, ideally in consulting or account management.

Proven ability to deliver strategic guidance and solutions that drive customer success and long‑term value, and to resolve issues and manage escalations.

A cooperative and productive approach to working relationships, internally and externally.

A strong ability to learn new concepts quickly, adapt to changing environments, and apply knowledge to deliver results.

Understanding of AI fundamentals, uses, and ethics, to identify business problems solvable with AI.

Strong business acumen and demonstrated knowledge of business processes and/or industries.

Proficiency in English to engage with our global network.

Curious and agile mindset, passion for learning, and resilience to adapt in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Strong problem‑solving, project‑management, and creative thinking skills, with ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly.

Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness that support inclusive teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

Foundational knowledge of emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence.

Focus Areas

SAP Finance & Spend Management (F&S) – accounting, procurement, and supplier management.

SAP SuccessFactors (Human Capital Management) – core HR, payroll, talent management, employee experience, HR analytics, workforce planning, sales performance management.

SAP Supply Chain Management – supply chain, asset management, manufacturing, logistics, or product/project lifecycle.

SAP Customer Experience – e‑commerce, sales, customer service, and marketing processes.

SAP Business Transformation Management – business process management/automation applications.

SAP Business Technology Platform & SAP Business Data Cloud – database and data management, analytics, application development, integration, intelligent technologies, AI, and security.

Compensation The target range for this position is €40,000 – €70,000. The actual amount offered will fall within this range and will depend on factors such as education, skills, experience, and role scope, as determined during the selection process.
