Overview

Our client is a regulated fintech company operating in the UK and Europe, delivering financial services and loyalty solutions to clients across Italy, the UK, Ireland, and beyond. With a stable and scalable platform, they are poised for growth, product expansion, and deeper regulatory capabilities over the next 2–5 years.

Responsibilities

• Guide the evolution of the cloud-native platform, ensuring scalability, stability, and alignment with business goals.
• Lead and inspire a multicultural engineering and operations team (~20 people), primarily based in the UK and Italy.
• Collaborate closely with the Product team to ensure efficient delivery of new features and services.
• Strengthen technical governance, ensure GDPR and regulatory awareness, and support compliance initiatives.
• Represent the technology function in discussions with clients’ technical teams.
• Manage and optimize an annual budget.
• Drive adoption of modern development practices and AI tools within the engineering team and contribute to the product roadmap with a forward-looking tech vision.

Your Profile

• Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology leader in a SaaS or fintech environment.
• Strong background in software engineering or architecture, ideally with .NET/C# and Azure.
• Familiarity with microservices, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in regulated environments (financial services preferred) would be a nice-to-have
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed, multicultural teams with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
• Comfortable in agile, fast-paced, and less structured environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both internal teams and external clients.
• Visionary mindset with a practical approach to AI integration and emerging technologies.
• Fluent English
