Customer Application Engineer

The Customer Application Engineer is a key role in the Commercial Service organization, being responsible for defining, preparing, and managing the technical portion of the LTSAs proposals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze technical specifications from customers, define and prepare the service Scope of Work, ensure accurate cost control, and manage technical risks.
  • Estimate OPEX costs for existing and new technologies, collaborate with commercial and sales teams to optimize proposals, and support negotiations with customers on technical aspects.
  • Work closely with the regional commercial team as a key partner in the strategy development to create the most competitive and winning proposal.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • 0–4 years of industry experience in a role as Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Application Engineer, or Project Manager.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Willing to travel with short notice.

Desired qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering with focus on turbo‑machinery.
  • Specific O&G market knowledge and experience is strongly recommended.
  • Good knowledge of rotating machineries, particularly gas turbines.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize work.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a team.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take lead in developing complex solutions under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • GB/BB certified.
