About the Role

The Credit Management Specialist supports the Credit Manager in managing credit risk and cash collection activities within the assigned Subsidiary cluster. The role contributes to ensuring healthy cash flow, minimizing credit exposure, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in compliance with Group Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Credit Manager in evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers within the assigned Subsidiary cluster, ensuring compliance with SOPs and Group Policies and escalating any potential deviations
  • Monitor credit risk exposure and cash collection activities by reviewing ageing reports and alerts related to business credit scores provided by credit reporting platforms
  • Distribute account statements and dunning letters in line with the defined Collection Strategy, including pre-due calling activities to identify and resolve administrative issues prior to due dates (e.g. incorrect invoice details)
  • Perform daily review and monitoring of sales orders on credit hold, ensuring timely follow-up actions, identification of cash collection measures, and release of orders where appropriate
  • Follow up on disputed invoices, analysing root causes and supporting corrective actions
  • Collaborate with customers, Sales and Finance departments to manage claims and disputes and reduce payment delays
  • Carry out daily cash collection follow-up activities by contacting customers via phone or email

Education & Previous Experience

  • Fluency in German and Italian is required; Dutch is considered a plus
  • Previous experience in credit management, accounts receivable, or cash collection is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
