Manager / Team Leader

As CQV Manager, you will lead the CQV department in Milan, steering high-quality CQV projects across Italy and Europe. You’ll balance technical direction with people development, coordinating internal engineers and external consultants, while expanding the CQV capability. You will support business development, harmonize CQV procedures, and drive continuous improvement in line with regulatory standards. This role offers international exposure, leadership responsibility, and the chance to shape CQV delivery across borders.

Lead delivery of CQV projects across Italy and Europe within the Milan office portfolio
Manage department resources, workload planning and project priorities
Grow and mentor the CQV team, including recruitment, onboarding and career development
Coordinate work of internal CQV engineers and external consultants
Identify and manage external consultants and related contracts
Support local business development through proposals, cost evaluations and planning
Promote harmonization and standardization of CQV procedures and best practices
Track project performance, progress, workload and delivery risks
Organize weekly activities of CQV Engineers
Support continuous improvement of CQV activities in line with industry standards (GxP, ISPE, ASTM E2500) and client expectations
Collaborate with clients and project teams across international locations
50% travel across Italy and Europe
Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or related discipline
At least 12 years’ experience in commissioning and qualification in pharmaceutical facilities
Experience leading or managing a CQV/C&Q team
Project management experience on large, complex international projects
Solid understanding of GxP, ISPE and ASTM E2500
Experience developing CQV strategies, master plans, procedures and protocols
Experience managing contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams
Commercial awareness including cost evaluation and resource planning
Fluency in Italian and English; German and/or French advantageous
Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with ability to motivate and develop others
Confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels
Solution-focused with genuine interest in continuous improvement
