This is an exciting opportunity to step into a Country Manager role in Italy , driving commercial growth, managing key accounts, and leading teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that improve patient outcomes across hospitals and healthcare systems.
This role is ideal for an ambitious professional with strong experience in key account sales management , strategic business development, and leadership within the medical technology sector .
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver annual sales quotas within your assigned territory.
- Lead key account sales programs , including hospital department conversions and whole-house conversions.
- Develop and implement account strategies to maximise growth and market penetration.
- Engage directly in the sales process: qualification, clinical demonstrations, evaluations, and deal closure.
- Recruit, train, and manage new employees within your territory.
- Collaborate with OEM partners and distributor sales teams to drive adoption of advanced healthcare solutions.
- Support marketing initiatives such as trade shows, regional symposia, and competitive analysis.
- Provide market insights to senior management on trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Maintain strong product expertise and provide technical training and in-service support to clinical teams.
- Prepare budgets and maintain accurate sales forecasts for reporting to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospital administrators, senior decision-makers, and healthcare executives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, nursing, or business administration (postgraduate degree preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of key account sales management experience in the medical device or healthcare technology sector.
- Proven track record of direct selling in competitive, strategy-intensive markets .
- Experience working with both OEMs and distributors , and comfortable engaging with hospital executives at C-level.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
- Results-driven with a proactive, “hands-on” approach and the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel extensively across Italy.
